Caregiving is one of life’s hardest roles. We’re here to make it easier through education, resources, and compassionate support for those walking this journey.

Diane Gasaway

Raised in Michigan, I had multiple adventures living in South Carolina, Colorado, and Indiana before finding my way to Georgia in 2010, when I became the primary full-time caregiver for my chronically ill mom. As a live-in caregiver, I understand the emotional and physical demands, the daily challenges, and the quiet joys that come with caring for a parent.

Through this journey, I developed a deep compassion for those walking similar paths and a desire to help others feel seen, supported, and equipped. With Diane, I have co-facilitated GriefShare since 2017, and together we’ve walked alongside countless individuals navigating loss and healing. I am honored to serve as a Volunteer Community Educator with the Alzheimer’s Association, where I share my experiences to encourage and empower caregivers.

Born in Atlanta, I have lived in Georgia my entire life. After 32 years of marriage, I became the primary caregiver for my husband, Tony until his death 18 months later from melanoma. I lived through the challenges of trying to balance work, doctor appointments, medication schedules, and caregiving while surviving.

With Debra, I have co-facilitated GriefShare since 2017 and became a hospice volunteer when I retired from working. There is a special place in my heart for caregivers of Alzheimer’s and dementia and I am honored to be a Volunteer Community Educator with Alzheimer’s Association, and a C.A.R.E.S Certified Dementia Specialist. I would love to come and speak with your group about Alzheimer’s, dementia, caregiving, or grieving. Just contact me.
